Thiruvananthapuram: The Covid-19 Daily case in Kerala declined on Friday with a country that recorded 38,684 fresh infections that raised the total case to 62.11.116.
The southern state has reported 42,677 cases of Covid-19 on Thursday.
Kerala on Friday also reported 595 deaths that raised the total deaths in Kerala to 57,296, according to government liberation.
From death, 28 reported in the last 24 hours, 197 were those that occurred in the last few days but were not recorded because of the delay in receiving documents and 370 was determined as Covid-19 deaths after receiving an appeal based on new guidelines based on the new guidelines from the center and the direction of the Supreme Court, The release said.
With 41,037 people recovered from the virus since Thursday, total recovery reached 57.86,949.
Because of the number of recovery more than new Covid-19 cases, active cases in the country fell to 3,66,120, the release said.
On Thursday, the number of active cases was 3.69,073.
As many as 1,20,496 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Among the 14 districts, Ernakulam recorded the highest number of cases with 6,398, followed by Thiruvananthapuram (5,002), Kollam (3,714), Thrissur (3,426), Kottayam (3,399), Malappuram (2,610), Kozhikha (2,469)) and Pathanamthitta (2,069) .
The remaining district records less than 2,000 cases.
From new cases, 313 were health workers, 189 from outside the country and 35,878 were infected through contact with the source was not clear in 2.304, the release said.
At present there are 5,12,986 people under supervision in various districts, including 5.02,193 in quarantine houses or institutions and 10,793 in hospitals, the release said.
