Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Monday saw less than 3,000 fresh Covid-19 cases for the second day running with the country that reported 2,230 new infections that took Kaseeload to 52.07.990.
The state also reported 419 deaths that raised victims to 44,922, said the release of the state government.
Of the 419 deaths, 14 were recorded over the past few days and 405 were appointed as Covid-19 deaths after receiving an appeal based on the new central guidelines and the direction of the Supreme Court.
With 3,722 more people recovered from viruses since Sunday, total recovery reached 51.45,501 and active cases fell to 28.724.
As many as 39,826 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Among the 14 districts, Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest with 439 new cases, followed by Ernakulam (397) and Kozhikode (259).
From new cases, 12 are health workers, 7 from outside the country and 2,081 were infected through contact with the source unclear at 130.
At present there are 1,39,438 people under supervision in various districts, including 1.35,200 in the quarantine of the house or Institutional and 4,238 in the hospital, the release said.
