Kochi: The country witnessed a decrease in Covid-19 cases with 18,420 new cases reported on Thursday.
Positive test (TPR) touched 22.3%.
Among new patients, 107 have returned from outside the country.
A total of 17,048 people contracted viruses through contact and sources of infection in 1,114 patients remained unidentified.
A total of 151 health workers were also tested positive for Covid-19.
District Ernakulam continued to report a maximum case (3012), followed by Thiruvananthapuram (1999), Kottayam (1749), Kollam (1656), Thrissur (1532), Kozhikode (1477), Malappuram (1234), Idukki (1091), alappuzha (1025 ), Pathanamthitta (972), Kannur (950), Palakkad (858), Wayanad (638) and Kasaragod (227).
82,575 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Nearly 3.88,601 people are currently observation in the state.
Out of this, 3,80,753 people were under house / institutional quarantine and 7848 people at the hospital.
A total of 1,205 people were taken to the hospital on Thursday.
Among the 2,32,980 cases of Covid actively reported, only 3.4% of patients were hospitalized.
Meanwhile, 43,286 recovery was also reported in the state.

ICU and oxygen need to sleep quickly decrease.
From 03-09 February, from an average of 3.22,890 cases treated, only 0.8% needed oxygen sleep and only 0.4% needed ICU.
