Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Monday noted a steep decline in the Covid-19 case, reducing 6996 infection and 84 deaths, taking cooperatives to 48,01,796 and fatality until 26,342 to 26,342 to date 26.342 to date.
The country has recorded 10,691 cases on October 10 with 16,576 more people recovered from viruses since Sunday, total recovery touched 46,73,442 and active cases fell to 1.01.419, the official press release said.
A total of 66,702 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, the release said.
Among the 14 districts, Ernakulam recorded the highest number of cases with 1,058, followed by Thiruvananthapuram (1,010) and Kozhikode (749).
The state has shown a decrease in new cases everyday after crossing the 30,000 Mark post-Onam festival in August.
From new cases, 35 are health workers, 40 from outside the country and 6,588 were infected through contact with the source unclear in 333.
At present there are 3,54,720 people under supervision in various districts, including 3,42,367 in the quarantine of the house or institutional and 12,353 in hospitals.
