Thiruvananthapuram: Schools in the state will be reopened from Monday but, regular classes until the night will begin only from February 21.
Education Minister V Sivankutty said this direction applies to all schools, including the ICSE and CBSE syllabus.
However, the teacher organization has protested the government releasing the reopening guidelines when the education minister has scheduled a meeting with teacher organizations on Tuesday to solve it.
The minister said that from Monday to February 21, the classes to the IX standard would be held only until noon.
Throughout Saturday, except national holidays in February and March, will be a working day.
However, for pre-primary parts, the class will only take place from Monday to Friday.
The teacher must try to ensure that all students come to school.
It has also been decided to carry out an annual exam for class I to IX.
Examination model for SSLC, plus two higher two and secondary vocational will begin on March 16.
Schools can do additional classes to complete the syllabus, the Minister said.
Because the government allows the opening of the Creche and kindergarten, the pre-primary class can start from Monday.
Classes will only have 50% of attendance from Monday to Friday at first.
Digital or online class will continue on request.
Educational officers must visit the school and analyze the progress of the resolution of syllabus and preparation for the annual examination.
A report must be submitted to Deputy Director of Education.
It has been directed that grade 10 and 12 academic syllabus must be completed before February 28, and the revision process must start from March 1.
All grade 10 and 12 teachers have been asked to submit a detailed report on the syllabus that is owned finished until the date in the Principal And this must be submitted to district education officers every Saturday.
The final exam date for class I to IX will be decided later, the Minister said.
