Thiruvananthapuram: The government’s medical college hospital in the state will witness the total strike on Monday because the surgeon of the house and senior doctor has promised their support to the striking Medicos PG.
The home surgeon has called for a 24-hour working boycott on Monday.
However, stand-off between Medicos Postgraduate and the State Government continued because the government was not willing to talk except Medicos ended their attacks.
Medicos has reaffirmed that unless their demands are fulfilled, they will not call on strike.
With 2,000 odd PG Medicos strike, the function of the government’s medical college hospital has been very devastated and the operation in many hospitals was postponed.
With Junior Doctors do not come to work, senior doctors and home surgeons carry a burden with a heavy workload.
As a result, senior doctors and home surgeons have promised their support to the striking Medicos and has urged the state government to resolve the earliest attack.
“For the past 10 days, postgraduate medical students have broken down and this has placed a home surgeon in extraordinary pressure.
We are subject to taxes on the absence of PG in hospital assignments.
We are not ready to take this workload and hence we have decided to Boy import duty for 24 hours from 8am on Monday.
But this strike will not affect emergency wings, “said Dr Ashin Anand, President of the State of the Kerala House Surgeon Association.
“Moreover, a woman’s surgeon was attacked at Medical College Hospital Alappuzha while on duty.
Such incidents occur when doctors work under extraordinary pressure with a lack of labor.
The government does nothing to provide protection for us,” said Dr.
Nila KS, State Secretary of the House of Surgeon Association.
Meanwhile, the Association of Senior Doctors such as Kerala Government Medical College Teacher (KGMCTA) and the Medical Teacher Association of Postgraduate Postgraduate (KGPMTA) also promised their support to the striking Medicos.
“It is the fact that the function of the hospital has been greatly affected by the Strike of PG Medicos.
However, the Ministry of Health puts all workloads of senior doctors who are forced to take assignments for extra hours on stretches, which are impossible humanely.
Senior doctors are posted on Victims, workspace and all other tasks carried out by PG Medicos throughout the day, “said Dr.
RC Sreekumar from KGMCTA.
KGMCTA at the Thiruvananthapuram medical medical hospital has decided to boycott OP, IP, and Elective operations on Monday as a sign of support for a striking postgraduate Medicos, said Dr.
Sreekumar.
