K Jayakumar, the Institute of Managers in the Director of the Government (IMG) and former Secretary’s Chief, have begun to fire documentaries about his father M Krisnan Nair.
The documentary will display the biggest contribution from Krishnan Nair to Malayalam cinema.
The function to mark the beginning of the photo shoot was held in Merryland Studio on Monday.

The documentary began with Sreekumaran Thampi and Madhu’s shot sharing their memories of Krishnana Nair.
K Raghunath, who trained under Nair Krishnan, turned on the lights.
K Jayakumar has written a memoir in Krishnan Nair titled ‘Krishnapakakham’.
It was published in 2019.
The documentary was being shot as part of the visual documentation by Krishnan Nair.
Academy Secretary C Ajoy said that the documentary about Krishnan Nair was part of the project to make a documentary about the winner of J C Daniel Award.
‘Kavyamela’ was directed by Krishnan Nair, which was released in 1965, has won a national film award for the best film features in Malayalam.
‘Cid’, ‘Kutikuppayam’, ‘Kattuthulation’, ‘Cochin Express’,’ Myianji ‘and’maniyara’ are some of his famous films.
Krishnan Nair who has directed more than 100 films in various languages has died in 2001.
