Kolhapur: A 19-year-old boy had been arrested by the local crime (LCB) of the Kolhapur City Police because of stealing 1.3 Kg silver ornaments from Pandal Ganesh owned by Rajaram Chowk Tarun Mandal in the wooden market area.
According to the police, the incident took place on September 15.
The defendant was identified as Suyash aka Varun Mahesh Hukkeri, a resident of Rajaram Chowk.
He also happened to be a member of the same mandal ganesh.
The police have confiscated stolen silver ornaments from Hukkeri.
Pramod Jadhav, Police Inspector with LCB, said, “The case was registered against an unknown person for stealing the silver ornaments offered to Ganesh Idol.
During the investigation, we learned that Hukkeri had stolen silver ornaments and watched him.”
