Kolkata: It is a contest between two old colleagues – his rival at Ward 31 in Salt Lake, where the former Mayor of Bidhannagar Sabyasachi Dutta fought on Trinamool tickets against former BMC MMIC and now BJP candidate Devasish Jana.
They also seem to be in a contrasting mood.
Dutta remained relaxed, while Jana changed more tense because the day was growing.
In fact, Dutta started the day with a Kachori breakfast and ice cream with her friends and party workers in the BF block.
However, Jana chose to visit the booth right in the morning.
It was at the beginning of 7 in the morning, when he was seen at the booth at Bhagabati Debi Balika Vidyalaya in AE block in his nation, where he himself was a voter.
Teaching outsiders have gathered there, Most of Jana lives in this outlet and only visited several others during the election hours.
“What happened to the election day of the Kolkata Municipal company was repeated here in a polished manner,” he thought.
Dutta and Jana face face when the Trinamool contestants visit Bhagabati Debi Balika Vidyalaya around noon.
Two exchanges before leaving in their own way.
Jana threw her voice at the booth at around 2:30 a.m., while the Dutta made another round of chamber in Ward 31, where she was fighting, before returning to Ward 32, where she lived.
Dutta played his voice at around 4:30 p.m.
Dutta confirms the overall peaceful voice with the election commission that processes very tightly.
Claiming no one unward incident in his nation, he said.
“I don’t know if there are outsiders or not, as expected.
BJP wants to remain relevant by leveling the accusation.” On his chances of winning, Trinamool contestants said he would rather wait for the results stated on February 14 than speculating.
“Let’s see what happened.
Everything will be known on February 14.
I don’t know what is played on the voter’s mind.
All I can say is that I have campaigned and I have a blessing of the Banerjee Mamata with me,” Dutta said.
Dutta and Jana are the old timers of Bidnagar, both of them have served as members of the BMC Trinamool Board four times.
Jana has become an opposition leader once during the term of the position of the Left Civic body.
Dutta, also twice MLA, has raided one step when he was appointed as Mayor of Bidhannagar in 2015.
Jana, who won from Ward 34, was appointed as a member of the Major-In-Council (MMIC) from the Board of BMC board members.
After the Dutta resigned from the BMC Mayor’s post in July 2019, Jana had expressed her willingness to become the Mayor of BMC, said he felt he could take responsibility but the position was given to Krishna Chakraborty.
Dutta defected BJP and Jana followed the suite just before the assembly poll of 2021.
Dutta was contested for Pos Bidhannagar MLA as a BJP candidate but lost to Sujit Bose Trinamool after that, Dutta returned to Trinamool.
