Kolkata: Priests from all cities and districts have gathered in Kolkata to get acquainted with the nuances of rituals and spells needed for Puja times.
While such workshops for priests before Durga Puja often occur, this is the first time the training session was held before Puja times, which will be celebrated early next month.
The workshop began at DAW households in Jorasananko on Friday and will continue until Sunday.
Fifty priests who will carry out rituals in different community pujas times throughout the city attend it.
“Different procedures and shlokas for all pues.
The procedure used during the Puja Durga does not apply when worshiping times.
The workshop has been held for sensitive priests about the right ritual,” said Jayanta Kushary, Practice Saraba Bharatiya Prachya Academy, an oriental study school Three-day workshop.
“It’s important to have a clear concept about the two festivals and places where the two goddesses find,” Kushary said.
The participating priests, some of which have joined the profession recently, will also be given a lightning course to polish their singing skills.
The number of times the pujas in the city has increased, the stick demand for Imam.
“But they must know Shlokas and other rituals needed.
Puja is different from Durga Puja.
Our aim is to provide true knowledge of verses and procedures,” Kushary said.
The priests will also be sensitive about Covid’s appropriate behavior during the workshop.
“Almost all the priests who attended the workshop were vaccinated.
During the festival, they would insist on people wearing masks and maintaining social distance,” Kushary said.
