Kolkata: Metro will add 10 more services from Monday, taking the total number of trains to 266 – the highest since its continued service after the covid-induced locking on September 14, last year after hiatus 178 days.
The composition of sustainable buyers before Durga Puja made the Metro Authority improve services along the North-South corridor once more within two weeks.
On September 15, this year, the Metro has added 10 services on weekdays to take the number of services up to 256.
From Monday, there will be 266 Metro Daily – 133 services in each direction.
The frequency will rise when the train will run at the fiveminute interval during rush hour in the morning and evening from Monday to Friday.
Out of this service, 167 will run between Kavi Subhas and Dakshineswar, instead of 148.
Services will begin at 7:30 a.m.
and end at 10:30.
To the top, there will be 12 services (the highest number of trains) from 10am to 11 in the morning, from 4pm to 5 pm and from 6pm to 19:00, to accommodate the increase in puja buyers.
Below down, there will be 12 services from 9am to 10 am, 11:00 to 12 noon and 17:00 to 6pm.
From 7pm to 7:30 a.m., there will be six services down.
Serving Rush Pre-Puja, Metro has added a train over the weekend, with 214 services on Saturdays and 120 services on Sundays.
But this is called a special train that is officially intended for important workers.
