The Chairman of the Minister of Balasavaraj Bommai said the state expert committee will meet after Dasara and make decisions about restrictions caused by relaxed Covid in the Karnataka border area.
Restrictions are imposed to curb an abundance infection of Maharashtra and Kerala, which sees a large surge in positive cases.
Bommai told reporters at Mangaloro on Wednesday that experts oversee the situation in Kerala and Maharashtra and vaccination rates in the border area.
The right decision will be taken after assessing the situation thoroughly.
He said the decision about the reopening of the school for the primary part would also be taken at the meeting.
