Rajkot: Kikch’s nephew BJP MP Vinod Chavda allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in his car near the village of Jadodara Nakhatrana at Kutch on Sunday afternoon on Sunday afternoon.
The reason for extreme steps is not known immediately.
The police said the 23-year-old Ramesh Locha Akshay was the son of Lok Sabha MP Chavda’s sister.
He was a resident of Devpara Village near Nakhatrana and his father was a farmer.
“We were told that Akshay was studying medicine abroad but because of the Pandemic Covid-19, he had lived in his home village for the past three months.
We get more detail about him and investigate suicide reasons,” Deputy Supervisor of the Police, VN Yadav, Nakhatrana , tell Toi.
Yadav said the initial investigation suggested that Akshay shot himself on his chest with a revolver while sitting in the car.
