Laboratories to promote research among science scholars

Vadodara: Research is usually done by students who pursue PhDs or those who are studying in the last year of their master’s degree program.
But the Faculty of Science MS University MS began a new concept – Laboratory of curiosity – for undergraduate students for research.
This is to meet the curiosity or curiosity developed by many students during their school years.
“This is the first initiative.
The basic objectives of this curiosity laboratory are to fulfill curiosity or curiosity that many students develop during their school days,” said the Faculty of Dean of Professor Haribhai Kataria.
The laboratory will be a special place for the first and second science scholar chosen (BSC) selected by students and if possible extended to third-year students are also given by a teacher.
The selected students will dedicate a minimum of 8-10 hours a week in this lab, outside their regular studies, maintaining their research notebook, submitting a quarterly and annual report with the presentation.
“We will prepare students so they can attend.
Their work at the national level conference.
They will be trained to read, understand, write, present scientific research papers,” Kataria said, adding that every year the student will get a beginner scientist certificate in the ceremony What will be carried out by the faculty, the faculty will choose five students who meet the requirements.
For this preliminary screening will be carried out at the faculty level.
Students who have obtained 88% and the above sign in their class 12 will be eligible to register.
The faculty will consider the past academic performance of these students including the score of the Neet, Jeet, Olympics, any value / presentation during school, hobbies, their achievements and awards.
“Partial funding to run this laboratory will be carried out by Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Limited,” Kataria said.
