Bareilly: For hours on Tuesday morning, the farmer’s family who died in Sunday violence in Banbirpur at Lakhimpur Kheri refused to cremate the body after the autopsy report “did not mention a bullet injury”.
During the day, with a spokesman for Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) Rakesh Tikait stepped in and held talks with administration, the body of three of them was finally cremated and the second autopsy was ordered for the fourth.
Police, meanwhile, have established sitting to investigate the allegations of both parties.
The sources told TI that an autopsy report from four farmers who died on Sundays – Lovepreet Singh, 20, Nactitar Singh, 60, Daljeet Singh, 35, and Gurwinder Singh, 19 – said they had an anemortem injury and did not mention bullet injuries, shows they died of an accident.
Died journalists, Raman Kashyap, 32, had similar injuries and died one on his head, the report said.
Two BJP workers who died – Shyam Sundar, 32, and Shubham Mishra, 29 – and one driver, Mishra’s day, had a consistent injury to being beaten to death, added the report.
“There is no clarity when we will get an autopsy report and fire.
We don’t want to imprecitate it before that.
We shared complaints with Rakesh Tikait and he asked us to stop cremation until the police explained.
We were told the second autopsy would be done,” said Gurpej Singh, Uncle Lovepreet, told Toi.
For hours, Kherhi SP Vijay Dhull and other officials tried to convince his family to cremate the body but the family refused.
“My child suffered a bullet injury, an autopsy report was wrong, there was no clarity when we would get an autopsy report and over the fire.
We did not want to imprecame him before.
We shared our complaints with Rakesh Tikait and he asked us to stop cremation until the police explained everything.
We were told that the second autopsy will be carried out, “said Gurpej Singh, Uncle Lovepree, told Toi.
For hours, Kherhi SP Vijay Dhull and other officials tried to convince his family to cremate the body but the family refused.
Tikait was in Shahjahanpur at that time.
Lovepreet comes from Bhagwannagar and Nakhattar from Ramdanpurva, both in Lakhimpur Kheri.
Tikaite arrived in Lovepreet Village at around 1:30 a.m.
and talked to the family.
“We believe that all the injuries to the Lovepree body are mentioned in an autopsy report.
Then, around 3pm, we climbed it,” said Gurpej.

In Nanpara in Bahraich, the Daljeet and Gurwinder families are also waiting for news from Tikait.
In the afternoon, they have received news about the contents of an autopsy report.
“My child has a bullet injury.
An autopsy report is wrong.
We want justice,” said Gurwinder Sukhwinder Singh’s father.
The Gurwinder family said the bullet hole could be seen near the right ear.

After a long discussion, the decision to arrive at the Gurwinder body will be sent for the second autopsy.
“This will be done by three doctors from PGI Lucknow in front of two members of the Gurwinder family.
A team will record videos,” Tikait Tii said from Nanpara.
The team landed on the reserve police line in Bahraich and carried out an autopsy when submitting a report.
Meanwhile Daljeet, was cremated at around 5.30 in the afternoon after he met his family.
At night, autopsy reports and firs have been shared with the four families.
