Rajkot: Of the 4,320 cities in the country, Rajkot gets 11th place for cleanliness.
However, Rajkot got ranked first in the category of the best Citizen LED initiative among cities that have more than 1 lakh population.
Kota Commissioner of Rajkot Amit Arora received award from Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Housing and Urban Union, in a function held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on Saturday.
The ruling party whip from Rajkot Municipal Corporation Surendrasinh Vala, Chair of the Ashwin Pambhar Sanitation Committee, Deputy Commissioner of Municipal A R Singh and Environmental Engineer Nilesh Parmaar joined the ATA in receiving the award.
