LG Major Tech South Korea has launched a new generation of OLED display, OLED EX.
The new EX OLED screen is claimed to bring some improvements to conventional OLED display technology.
Ex on the new screen stands for evolution and experience and according to the company, new display technology can increase the conventional display of maximum brightness that allows, improve image quality and also, create more space for the bezel display.
LG said that he used hydrogen isotopes called Deuterium in a combination with algorithmic image processing to make ex OLED display, while maintaining the original technology to remain intact.
LG claims that deuterium with algorithmic image processing can help increase the brightness of display with more than 30% compared to conventional OLED display and also increases engine efficiency over time.
“Deuterium is twice as severe than normal hydrogen, and only a few are in the natural world – because only one deuterium atom found in around 6,000 ordinary hydrogen atoms.
LG Display has resolved how to extract deuterium from water and apply it to an organic light transmitter device.
When stabilized, Deuterium compounds allow the appearance to emit brighter light while maintaining high efficiency for a long time.
“, Company said in a blog post.
LG claims that with the help of OLED EX Tech, the thickness of the bezel display can also be reduced from six millimeters to four on a 65-inch TV.
LG has said that it will start using OLED EX Display Tech on every OLED TV produced in Paju Samsung, South Korea and Guangzhou, China location starting from Q2 2022.
The company has not revealed the date of the first OLED product launch.
