Dehradun: Head of BJP JP Nadda Sunday is called a “progressive” proposal to raise the age of marriage for women from 18 to 21 years and praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi for move.
Nadda said the female appreciation for the decision strengthened the party determination to take more steps to their empowerment.
“This is a very progressive decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Increasing the age of marrying for women from 18 to 21 and bringing it with a man with a historic step towards women’s empowerment,” Nadda said in a program here organized here Women to thank Prime Minister to move.
He said it was a decision that discussed concerns raised by health organizations for the age of the wedding area for women in India was too low.
The bill about raising the age of a woman’s marriage was introduced at Lok Sabha during the winter session and was sent to the Parliament Committee for supervision.
