Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) on Saturday said, due to the influence of Western disturbances, several districts in West Odisha tended to witness light rain to one or two days from February 17.
The tonight temperature will continue to decline by several coastal bags until February 15, while the rain will occur in the District of Nuabada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh afterwards.
The night temperature will increase again by three to four degrees Celsius from February 16, said a bulletin from IMD.
“The night temperatures fell 2 to 3 degrees in coastal areas and 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in the interior bag in the last 24 hours,” said H R Biswas, scientists and head of the Regional IMD center here.
He added that the minimum night temperature will remain 2 to 4 degrees Celsius below normal for the next three days.
“The night temperature might fall further in several coastal bags during that period,” he added.
On Saturday, Jharsuguda, at 9.6 degrees Celsius, and Bhawanipatna, at 10.5 degrees Celsius, saw the highest decline of 5.8 degrees and 4.8 degrees below normal temperatures.
