Kohali (Gurdaspur): In their farm house on the outskirts of Kohali, about 20 km from Batala, in the Gurdapur District, Jaswinder Singh’s telephone and his wife Lakhwinder Kaur did not stop ringing on Monday.
Uncle Father and Aunt Miss Universe 2021 Harnaz Sandhu spent all day receive a message of congratulations from family and friends because they beamed proudly.
“Let me admit that we are a bit orthodox in thinking but slowly myths and misunderstandings are cleared, now, we feel very proud of Harnaz for bringing family glory and fame,” Jaswinder said.
He said the last Harnaz came to his home village after winning the title of Miss Diva Universe 2021 in November.
He visited the family’s ancestral house, paid respect at Gurdwara Baba Bhuraae Wala, and danced with a dhol knock.
Harnaz also had photos and shooting videos during his visit to Amritsar, he said.
“Being the only daughter with four brothers, Harnaz is the one who is dear to everyone.
He really likes fresh farm milk.
The last time he was here, he had a glass of milk,” said Lakhwinder, added he knew every household work .
“He is a very good cook and can imitate other people perfectly,” he said, with a smile on his face.
The Sandhu family has a shared property in the village, Jaswinder said.
Since Mrs.
Harnaz is a doctor, her parents shifted to Batala, where she was born, and then, they moved to Chandigarh.
