Vadodara: Covid-19 may still scare in the city, but it is a virus fever that must be fought for.
Dengue has begun to raise his head in the city and may take alarming proportion in a few weeks and the coming month.
On Wednesday, compared to three Covid cases in the city, 12 cases of dengue fever were reported.
On Tuesday while only two cases of Covid-19 were reported, 12 people had been tested positive for dengue fever.
An official said that usually dengue fever began to raise his head in August and continued until December in the city.
This is a mosquito breeding in fresh water which leads to the spread of the disease.
Officials show that the only way to control this disease is to ensure that mosquito breeding stops.
They added that even though there was an attraction and drive of consciousness, this was ignored.
Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) Medical Officer (Health) Dr.
Devesh Patel said that transmission usually starts in July and can continue until November or December.
“If water remains stagnant for three to four days, mosquito breeding can begin in it,” he said.
VMC has started a large drive to go to door to door and check the possibility of a breeding place since 2.
August so far, 4,414 containers where nurseries occur found.
Overall, the team found 3,944 cases of fever during the drive.
In addition to dengue fever, the Chikungunya case was also reported in the city.
The source added that very few reported malaria cases and this disease has not reached alarming proportion.
