The two partners have filed separate petitions who accused that the girls of the girls disrupt the daily lives of the applicants.
One was submitted by Shayara Khatun and his partner Kushi Nagar (both majors in direct relations with each other since lasting more than two years) and the others were submitted by Zeenat Parveen and his partner from Meerut (both majors and live-in relationships since the last year) .
It was also stated that they approached the police authority concerned, but the police authorities did not expand their assistance and consequently, they claimed that their lives and freedom were damaged.
Therefore, they apply for Writ at this time before the High Court.
The court, at first, underlined that the right to life which was enshrined by article 21 of the Indian Constitution was responsible for being protected by all means and argued that the police authority was obliged to protect the rights of the applicant.
Therefore, the court in the order of October 26, directed that if the Petitioners approach the police authority concerned complained of the threat of their lives and freedom, the police authorities concerned would do their duties as expected of them.
