Jaipur: Choosing the second phase of the Election of Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti in Baran, City, Ganganagar and Karuli Regency in Rajasthan will be held on Wednesday.
The Commissioner of the Election of the State PS Mehra said the poll would be held from 7:30 a.m.
to 17:30 on Wednesday.
The Election Commission has made all the necessary settings for free, fair, peaceful and safe, he added.
In the second phase, more than 12.72 Lakh voters would be able to use their franchise in four districts, said Mehra in a statement, adding that the election would be held for 240 wards 12 Panchayat Samitis and the constituency of Zila Parishad respectively.
He said the 827 candidates were in a commotion for the chair of Samiti Pancira, while two were chosen without removing.
A total of 1,580 voting stations are arranged for the second phase, added Mehra.
In the first phase, voter voters were recorded at 64.35 percent.
Voting for the third phase will be held on December 18, and the vote count will take place on December 21.
