Almost two weeks following having a Dalit youth was plagued in authorities lock-up and made to drink pee, the sub-inspector supposed to participate in the action was reserved under IPC and also SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Amendment Act. Chikkamagaluru SP HA Machindra verified to STOI an FIR was lodged from sub-inspector Arjun Honakere in relation to the event. On May 10, KL Punith, 22, was picked up by authorities shortly after a married girl went missing.
