New Delhi: The Delhi government on Thursday allows the organizers of Ramlila, Durga Puja, Dussehra and other religious functions to use loudspeakers and public address systems between 10pm and 12 midnight until October 16 “in public interest”.
However, the committee will still need permission from Delhi police.
“LT Governor Delhi has considered the request of public interest and has given permission to use loudspeakers and public address systems between 10 nights and 12 midnight with direct effects until 16 October,” commands issued by the Department of Environment.
It was stated that Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has also relaxed restrictions at meetings and major churches for the upcoming festival celebration until November 15.
According to the latest DDMA guidelines, exhibitions and food stalls will not be allowed during the Festival in Delhi.
There is no position standing or squatting on a lively event in Delhi, and just sitting in a chair with social distance permitted.
No Chhath celebrations will be permitted in public places and rivers in the city, the guidelines stated.
