Hyderabad: Analysis of search trends on Google has revealed that people in Telangana seek love, sex, and gold a lot in the second year of the pandemic.
While throughout the country, people are looking for ‘sexy’ (in Hindi), Netizens in Telangana looking for ‘sex’ (in Telugu) in 2021, enough to take both words in the Google Top search list.
‘Love’ is also displayed in Telangana’s top list.
However, pirated websites beat all searches above.
People in Telangana are looking for film piracy websites for tollywood releases.
Most new Tollywood films leak on these sites, which are also popular in other parts of the country.
“Piracy is a crime and causes a big loss to the film industry.
Small and medium budget films are the worst hit.
The police and institutions concerned must remain checked,” said Tollywood Director N Shankar to Tii.
The trend shows that in Telangana, like the rest of India, there is a large consumption of video content.
Other main searches in Telangana, somewhat not surprising, are ‘gold rates today’.
While the country is looking for ‘Satta’ (gambling) to try and make money fast, netizens in Telangana typing ‘Matka’ in many search windows.
‘Cowin App’ and ‘Covid-19 Vaccine’ are also the top queries of Telangana.
Many in Telangana and throughout the country are also looking for ‘cricket’.
Top searches are the most frequently searched terms in the selected area.
The social media platform is also a popular search.
