Hyderabad: On January 31, Blessy will celebrate its eighth birthday with a difference.
He will go with his father to the nearest forest and sprinkle seed balls for a greener tomorrow.
What Dobbala Blessy from Suddala Village at Sircilla KonaraOpet Mandal has been made is Seed Bank with 65,000 seeds.
On Saturday, Blessy sat to make preparations for his birthday.
He made a seed ball with mud and ready.
On his birthday, he would go with his father Prakruthi Prakash to the forest area and dissolved the seed ball.
“We breathe and survive only because of trees.
I took the seeds that fell every day wherever I saw them and took them home.
Sometimes, my friends laughed at me.
When I explained the purpose, they understood,” said Blessy told Stoi.
It was after his father Prakruthi Prakash explained his interests to plant trees and increase greenery, that Blessy felt he also had to do a little.
From the seeds he chose for the past few years, 30,000 had disbanded after making a seed ball.
“If I stand under the tree, I look around for seeds and take and add to my seed bank,” said Dobbaba Blessy.
The seed bank consists of fruit tree seeds such as acid, neem, mangoes, apple custard and species of flowering trees available locally.
“Did he play near the house or at school or walk anywhere, his concentration only to find seeds,” said Blessy Prakruthi Prakruthi’s father.
Many awards come from their teachers and other people in the village because of their interest in taking seeds and storing them at the seed bank.
With encouragement, some have told him that for the big job he did, they would give him a gift on his birthday.
For blessings, the forest gives a signal and he will dissolve the seed ball he made to make the world a greener around him.
