Madurai: Madras High Court has allowed the termination of pregnancy from a 17-year-old girl who was raped and infused by a 44-year-old man.
The court heard the petition filed by the girl.
The man had a physical relationship with the Petitioner’s little daughter as a result he was conceived.
Madurai District Police have registered cases under the Act Pocso section.
Since the Putri Petitioner is currently in the sixth month of pregnancy, the applicant takes him to a government hospital for termination of pregnancy.
Because of more than 20 weeks of pregnancy, the court order is needed to stop it.
Therefore, the applicant applied for this application.
Justice G R Swaminathan says that in accordance with the medical opinion of pregnancy must be stopped and that it will not cause risk to the Petitioner’s daughter’s life.
The judge also interacted with the girl through a video call to find out the stand.
The girl firmly stated that she did not want to continue pregnancy and petitions submitted with her knowledge and agreement.
Therefore, the judge directs medical experts to take the right steps to stop the pregnancy.
Observing that this problem cannot be rested there, the Swaminathan judge said that the accusation was that the person responsible for minor pregnancy was a mini bus driver where he traveled every day.
Allegations by prosecution are quite serious.
The judge directed the police to submit a final report in this case within two months.
If the Forensic report confirms the defendant’s father, the Jurisdiction Court will immediately find out for violations and try the case in advantages and conclude it within three months, after that, the judge said.
