Chennai: The Madras School of Economics (MSE) opened his door for class XII Passouts who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in economics.
It plans to uncover BA first in economic programs in 2022-23 with 50 seats.
It will also order 35% of seats for students from Tamil Nadu.
The school, which is ranked second after Delhi School of Economics, offers almost 100% placement for the postgraduate degree program with an average salary of Rs 12 lakh per year.
“Our degree program will have a strong quantitative component.
So, students with a higher secondary mathematical background will be preferred.
We plan to create awareness about this degree program among city school students,” said Kr Shanmugam, Director, Madras School of Economics.
Tamil Nadu students can also compete for the remaining 65% seat.
Students who want to join this degree program may have to write an entrance test in June next year.
The Institute also plans to allow UG students to study for five years to integrate levels.
“Students who complete this BA program will find it easy to pursue Masters or PhDs at a foreign university because the institution follows a similar approach.
Syllabus, various options for students and the details of the entrance test will be completed at the Academic Council meeting in February,” Shanmugam added.
MSE will provide your own degree for UG students, PG and PhD.
The state recognizes MSE as the Institute of Special Importance of Economics and Subjects and Ally Management with the degree of administration of power through the Madras School of Economic Act, 2020.
So far, the Institute offers these programs together with Tiruvarur (CUTN) in Tiruvarur (CUTN) .
