Madurai: Government and Private Hospital and District Administration in Madurai have increased the preparation steps and alertness of the mask because of fresh Covid-19 cases continue to rise in Tamil Nadu.
The district government will force RS 200 fines to those who do not use masks.
On Wednesday, the number of fresh Covid-19 cases in the Madurai district crossed 50 for the first time in a few months.
At the Rajaji Government Hospital (GRH), 30 patients were in treatment.
Dean GRH, Dr.
A Rathinavel said that Covid-19 patients were treated at GRH and government hospitals for respiratory medicine in Thoppur and depending on their needs, the number of beds would be expanded.
“Covid care centers are planned in all primary health care centers in the district.
We each feed 15 beds.
Because most patients only have mild symptoms, home isolation suggested,” said Dr.
Senthil Kumar, Deputy Director of Health Services.
Grh also has a total of seven functional oxygen PSA factories, making it more independent for oxygen supply.
At the Taluk hospital too, the oxygen generator factory has been set.
In private hospitals, the bed was set aside for covid patients and there was a number increase.
“In the past few days, we saw a sharp increase in patients.
We have prepared a bed given during the first wave.
We took steps to limit officers at the hospital place to minimize crowding,” said Dr.
Bannan, medical administrator, home Meanakshi’s mission and research center.
Meanwhile, Madurai District Coller Aneesh Sekhar checked the Covid-19 ward in GRH on Wednesday.
The collector said that steps must be taken to stop the Covid-19 case from going further and carrying it under control.
He also stated that Rs 200 will be worn at all those who do not wear masks in public places.
