Trichy: Indian train catering and tourism companies (IRCTC) will operate the exclusive tourism train ‘Shri Ramayana Yatra’ from Madurai to Shringverpur at Uttar Pradesh to promote domestic tourism.
Tour, which will begin on November 16 from Madurai and conclude on November 28 at Shringaverpur going through Dindigul, Trichy, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai Junction, Chidambaram, Cuddalore Port, Villupuram Junction, Junction Katpadi, Junction, Hampi, Nasik, Chitrakut Dham, Varanasi, Style, Sitamarhi, Janakpur (Nepal), Ayodhya, Nandigram and Prayagraj.
In a statement, general manager, tourism, IRCTC, A P Sundarajan, said that the package fee for the 13-day tour was Rs 14,490 per person, including GST.
Unique tourist trains have features such as sleeping classes, non-ac accommodation, non-AC road transfers, South Indian vegetarian food, tourist and security escorts for each trainer, travel insurance, and protection kits such as sanitisers, masks, facial shields and gloves.
People who live in America Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Puducherry can order tickets.
Central or state government employees can use the LTC for a pilgrimage tour.
The E-ticket agent approved by IRCTC can also order tour packages.

Because this is the first special train tourist IRCTC that serves the main tourists to visit North Indian pilgrims, train authorities have appealed to the general public to take advantage of opportunities.
