Tokyo: The strong earthquake registered the initial Magnitude 6.1 rocked the Tokyo area on Thursday night, but officials said there was no tsunami danger.
The meteorological agency said the earthquake was centered in Chiba Prefecture, right east of Tokyo, at a depth of 80 kilometers (48 miles).
It causes buildings to sway but there are no direct reports of damage or injury.

“Super Express Train Shinkansen” entered and came out of Tokyo while stopped, said NHK.
