Pune: Daily oxygen requirements for covid patients under 30 metric tons in the current country with only 40% of infected people who need hospitalization, but government machines oversee the situation carefully.

Pradeep Vyas on Monday told Toi, “The number of Covid patients currently received at the hospital is 3,628 of a total of 9,813 – only about 40% of active cases in the state.

“The Minister of Health of Rajesh Tope said last week the possibility of new locking in the state would appear only if oxygen demand per day exceeded 800 mt.
The capacity of making state oxygen per day is 1,350 mt, but now 1,050 mt is produced every day due to less demand.
This, 750 MT supplied for industrial use and 300 mt are reserved for medical use, including 30 mt for covid patient care.
Senior state government officials stated that industrial use can be reduced depending on medical use.
“Until now, the situation is very controlled.
We as a country have a capacity to produce up to 1,350 mt every day.
The request is around 1,050 MT now and is being divided between industrial and medical needs,” said one official.
The requirements of the oxygen peak in the state during the second wave of Covid are 1,700 mt per day.
The country then increases production of up to 2,000 MT every day.
