Mumbai: Minister Maharashtra Varsha Gaikwad on Thursday was announced that the school was ready offline once again in the state for grade 1 to 12, starting January 24.
The Chairperson of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray has approved the school education proposal sent to his department, he told reporters.
“Written instructions about this will be issued today or tomorrow,” added the Minister of School Education.
Schools in Maharashtra were closed in the first week of January due to a surge in the Coronavirus case and after the emergence of an omicron variant was very contagious.
However, a number of parents, activists in the field and teachers strongly opposed the move to close the school, said it would affect students.
In Mumbai, the local Civil Agency has announced the closing of the school for grades 1 to 9 to January 31.
However, the assessment of BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has indicated that the cases of omicron infection do not rise, and it is said that the curve is flat.
It encourages officials to propose reopening schools for physical presence.
“Our soup is very tight and clear.
We have provided a four-day advance to school management to carry out vaccinations and sanititis and for time table preparation.
Time and other decisions needed will be taken by local authorities, such as the commissioner of the district or city collector based on the local situation , “said Gaikwad.
On Wednesday, he said that the proposal to reopen the schools in the country had been sent to the minister’s head for his approval.
