Almost a week to Jallikattu season, three deaths have been reported – everything outside the arena, and no bull tailor – two is the audience and owner of other bulls.
Over the years, safety in Jallikattu means ensuring sports where animals are not tortured and bull tailors are entered with as many medical preparations and reserves as possible.
Steps like Barikade Areas around ‘Vadivasal’ from which Bulls charge in the Tamer has helped make the game safer for the participants.
Now is a spectator that demeans a collection of bulls at the edges of the arena, far from ‘Vadivasal’ who are injured or killed.
This shows the lack of sufficient prevention measures outside the ring.
The Ministry of Health Personnel who took care of the injured near Jallikattu Arena observed that most of them were injured or killed were spectators.
Of the 53 people who were injured at Avaniyapuram Jallikattu in Madurai last Friday, 31 was the audience and those in Bull Collection Point, a place where bulls at the end of the rechamine was arrested by the owner.
It was in this area that B Balamurugan who was 18 years old from Avaniyapuram lost his life after the bull’s horn stabbed his chest.
At present, there is no check to control the crowd.
There was a bull incident that came out of control and ran for kilometers on the highway and to the rice fields and injured riders and only anyone in the past few years.
S Arumugam from Alanangallur said the bull tailor near ‘Vadivasal’ was careful when the announcer said ‘Suthu Maadu’, which means that the bull will be released.
“The tamers have the choice to stay away from ‘Vadivascial’ when they feel it is not safe.
But those at the bull collection point at the end of the barricade did not realize the bull came out after the event, because it was far from ‘Vadivasal’,” he said.
In Trichy, a 29-year-old bull owner, G Meenchi Sundaram, was the first victim of this year at Suriyur.
He was died by his own bull when he led to ‘Vadivasal’.
The second victim was Vinothkumar, 24, a fat audience died at the collection point by the bull who hurried away from ‘Vadivasal’.
With more than 100 Jallikuttu events scheduled in the middle and southern region until February, the safety of the audience is the cause of concern.
The police who examined the size of security, said they installed a barricade at the point of collection to prevent the incident.
V Balakrishnan, Inspector General of Police, the central zone, said barricades were stronger and more stringent at the point of collection had to be followed to examine the incident.
