Kalyan: GRP Dombivli on Tuesday arrested a carpenter, Bablu Chauhan (35), for allegedly cutting out his friend, Bechan Chauhan (32), threw away the body that was beheaded along the railroad and tried to cover the crime as a robbery of violence.
“As long as it was questioned, Bablu claimed the murder and said that he had a dispute with Bechan,” said Senior Inspector Mukesh Deseh Dakesh.
Duo shared a rented room in the Dombivli’s Shelan Naka area.
Bablu claimed that at 12:30 a.m., when they took an autorickshaw to reach the Kalyan station to go upstairs, three people intercepted them on the Thakurli-Kalyan parallel road.
He claimed the people triggered the driver who left, took Bechan and he went to the train track and robbed them in the knifepoint.
He said he managed to escape and approached the police Tilated Nagar.
When the police reached the place, they found Bechan who was beheaded.
The police warned Dombivli GRP, which initiated an investigation and nailed the Bablu Lie.
