Nashik: Covid-19 situation in the Ahmednagar district has begun to improve for the past week.
Last month, 700-800 cases were reported every day, which has now dropped up to 150-200 every day.
Covid cases in Talukas hotspots such as Sangamner and Parner also declined.
More than 11,000 residents have been tested positively last month and most of them asymptomatic or have mild symptoms.
The level of participant, which is more than 5% a month, has now dropped to less than 1.9%.
The number of active cases in the past month has been reduced from more than 4,800 to around 2,300.
Even the number of critical patients has diminished to 328, which is more than 700 a month ago.
Rajendra Bhosale District collector told TII that although Covid scenarios in the district had begun to improve, administration would not reduce his bodyguard because there were other wave predictions and there were still active cases in all districts.
“For more than a month now we have taken a series of steps to stop the spread of infection.
These steps are now starting to produce results,” added Bhosale.
Administration has imposed strict restrictions in villages in various Talukas.

“This restriction is imposed in more than 69 villages in various phases and local police maintaining strict vigilance to prevent the movement of local residents who need not need to be inside and outside the village.

Administration does more than 15,000 covid tests every day, which is one of the highest in the state.
“Test reports are available for local health authorities within 24 hours so that positively tested people can be isolated and treated earlier,” added district officials.
