Yavatmal: four people, including Sr.
Sulewar driver, Conductor Bhimrao Nagrikar and two passengers, down after the Maharashtra Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus was washed when crossing the bridge that overflowed in Nullah in Dahegaon Village in Yavatmal Regency, between Ummarkhed and Pusad on Tuesday morning said Amol Yedge District collector.
The river and Nullah overflowed in the district after heavy rain for the past two days.
The source said the bus (MH14 / BT-5018), owned by Nagpur Depot, came to Nagpur from Nanded.
When reaching the village of Dahegaon, 8km from Umarchhed, the driver did not care about the bridge that overflowed over Nolah and decided to drive through the flood water.
He lost control and the bus fell to the side of the bridge and was swept away.
There are six people on the bus including the driver and conductor.
Two people were saved and three bodies were taken.
