Pune: In view of the festive season and the opening of the ongoing process, the Additional Chief Secretary of State, Pradeep Vyas, has directed all the collectors and commissioners to increase vaccination drive in their district.
He has asked them that drive daily vaccination should include at least 1% of the beneficiaries of the 18-plus qualified in their districts.
This is the desired minimum level, and can be improved further, he added.
With a target population into 9.14 crore Maharashtra, the state set a goal of 9-10 lakh daily dosing in October.
Additional chief secretary said that each district should also identify areas where vaccination campaigns have not taken, and concentrate on the bags.
