Mumbai: Maharashtra on Tuesday reported 1,638 positive cases of Coronavirus and 49 deaths, taking infection calculations to 65,94,820 and tolls to 1,39,865, while 2,791 patients recovered, said an official health department official.
The total number of recovery in Maharashtra has increased to 64,24,547, leaving the country with 26,805 active cases, the official said.
The recovery rate of Covid-19 Maharashtra is now at 97.42 percent while the mortality rate is 2.12 percent.
With 1,32,467 new tests, the number of samples examined so far in Maharashtra rose to 6.12.48,820, the official said.
Four districts and six city companies in the state did not report fresh Covid-19 cases, he said.
Mumbai reported 314 new Covid-19 cases and four deaths and pune-city infections and one death.
Among the eight maharashtra regions, the Mumbai region reported the highest 615 Covid-19 cases, followed by 497 cases in the Pune region, the official said.
Nashik region reported 311 new cases, Kolhapur 90, Latur 61, and Aurangabad 38.
The area of Akola and Nagpur Region each added 13 cases, he said.
Among 49 fatality of Covid-19, 14 highs were reported from the Nashik region, followed by 11 in the Kolhapur region, and 10 of each in the area of Pune and the Mumbai region.
The Latur area saw three deaths because of Covid-19 and Akola.
The Nagpur and Aurangabad regions did not report new deaths because of Covid-19, he said.
As many as 2,09,798 people are in house isolation in the state and 928 others are in institutional quarantine.
