Kalyan: Two unidentified robbers beat a woman and her daughter at their home in Kalyan on Monday.
Both the mother and daughter suffered injuries and underwent treatment at a private hospital.
The incident took place at Vatsala Chikne’s house located in the Village Atali area in Kalyan (West).
The police said they had recently married Vatsala Sarika Chavan with her two children home to celebrate Maghi Ganesh Utsaav.
After Ganesh Visarjana on Sunday Chikne saw two men entering the house.
But, before he could increase the alarm, the robbers hit his head.
His daughter tried to fight the robbers.
However, they also beat him and took 13 grams of gold ornaments and cash from home.
After the incident, Khadak police officers registered a case of robbery against two unknown men.
