Navi Mumbai: The Crime Branch Team (Unit II), in coordination with Thane Food & Drug Administration (FDA) officials, put a trap and arrest a 20-year-old young man because illegally sold two bottles of covishield vaccines and 15 syringes, under the Rajiv bridge Gandhi was nerul on Wednesday.
Acting on complaints by the Inspector of FDA Ajay Mahule (50), they arrested Kishore Khet, a Kamothe resident, and posted it under Section 420 IPC along with the Essential Commodity Act, 1955, and medicine and cosmetics, 1940.
Senior Inspector ( Crime Branch-Unit II) Giridhar Gore said, “We called Mahule to verify whether the young man really sold vaccines.
We put a trap by sending a bait customers to buy two bottles from Khet.
The betel was given a false RS60,000 note bundle, including Four original RS500 records.
“Gore said that at 3:45 a.m., bait met Khet under the bridge.
Khet sells two bottles and 15 syringes and receives cash from it.
When the bait signaled them, Ronage Psi Vaibhav held Khet.
Khet claimed he bought a bottle from a nurse.
“He did not work with the investigation, because he claimed he was not aware of his existence.
Therefore, we have secured his cosher,” Gore said.
