Vadodara: A man tried to commit suicide in the place of the District Court in Diwalipura in Vadodara on Tuesday afternoon.
The Thakor government, who consumed the poison from the bottle, was rushed to Gotri Hospital for care and the police said that his condition was stable.
According to the police, the 47-year-old Thakor was in court to hear maintenance cases, submitted by his wife a few years ago.
He has attended an audience for the past three years and has paid a sum of money to his wife.
“Thakor should pay Rs 4.50 lakh to him and hear the saved on Tuesday,” said Police Inspector Gotri V R Vaniya.
“Thakor was sentenced to prison for several days in the same case in the past.
He seemed to have consumed poisons to divert attention because he had to pay more money to his wife.
His condition is stable but the doctors made him remain silent,” Vaniya added.
The Thakor family member claimed that he was disturbed because he could not regulate money and that was why he consumed poison due to frustration.
