Rajkot: A 26-year-old man ended his life by consuming toxic substances after he failed in a physical examination for police recruitment for the third time.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Nikunj Makwana, a resident of Lili Sajadiyari Village near Sardhar in Rajkot Taluka.
The police said he consumed poison on Monday night at his residence.
He used to work in a snack factory in Rajkot.
Makwana has emerged for physical testing for recruitment as a police sub-inspector on Sunday.
However, he failed in the test, for the third time in a row and experienced depression, his family members told the police.
The investigation revealed that Makwan was the youngest of the three brothers and unmarried.
