New Delhi: A 26-year-old man killed his three-month-old boy allegedly under the influence of alcohol after fighting with his wife, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place at Bhalswa Dairy outside Delhi on December 3 night, they said, adding defendant Ravi Rai had been arrested.
Rai holds her child with her legs and banged on her head to the wall, police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Brijendra Kumar Yadav said PCR’s call was received at around 10:30 a.m.
on December 3 at Bhalswa Dairy Police Station told them that a man had killed his child.
“When our team reached the point, Ravi Rai’s father was found under the influence of alcohol and his three-month-old child was rushed to the BJRM hospital where the doctor said he was taken dead.
According to the MLC report, the child’s skull, the child’s skull was found to be damaged,” he said.
During the investigation, when the neighbors and flat owners were examined, they said that the husband and wife were in that place since the last month.
They used to be involved in a fight every day.
Rai used to live in a room and his wife who used to work at Azad Pur bath, said a senior police officer.
“Neighbors also told our team that on the day of the incident, at the time of a husband and wife with a child was present in the room.
Suddenly the woman came out and raised the alarm shouting that her husband killed her child,” the officer said.
