Tiruvannamalai: The police arrested a 30-year-old man on charges of killing his lover’s son and tried to kill other sons in the village near Chayyar in the Tiruvannnamalai district.
The defendant, P Vinoth Kumar, came from a village near Panruti in the Cuddalore district.
Police said S Narmatha, 26, who lived with her two sons after her husband died five years ago in an accident in a village near Mathur in the Cuddalore district, developing an affair with Vinoth Kumar.
Kumar then works as a collection agent in a private bank and is used to visit the village to collect money from clients.
Narmatha’s parents, about learning about their affair, insisted that she destroyed the relationship.
The woman refused and left home with her two sons, one or six other four-year-olds.
He settled with his sons and lovers in a village near Cheyyar after getting a job at the Sipcot Industrial Unit.
Kumar met with an accident and would not work for the past three months.
Police said he began consuming excessive alcohol.
He also pressed the woman to leave her two sons.
Narmatha, to reach the house after work on Monday, was surprised to find her second son lying down fainting on the floor while Kumar was drunk.
He, together with his neighbor, rushed the boy to the Mamandur Primary Health Center where the doctor was in charge of proclaiming ‘taken dead’.
He prefers complaints with the Dusi police station.
The police request revealed that Kumar, under the influence of alcohol, attacked two boys after Narmatha went to work on Monday.
The old boy, who suffered an injury, managed to escape and ran out of the house, but the younger could not escape.
The police said the man destroyed the boy’s head on the wall, killing him instantly.
The police posted him below Section 302 (punishment for murder) and 307 (trying to murder) from Indian Criminal Code and arrest him on Tuesday.
