Ghaziabad: A 35-year-old man was shot by four attackers transmitted by a bicycle in the Muradnagar area on Sunday night.
According to the police, he was seriously injured and underwent treatment at a private hospital.
The police have identified victims as Amit Tyagi, residents of Husainpur, Muradnagar.
He, said the police, worked as a compounder at the clinic in the region.
Narendra Tyagi, a farmer and father of the victim, said that around 7pm, Sunday, his son came home from agriculture.
“While returning, four unknown people stopped him and fired a shot at him,” he said.
“Some people crossed the stretch, told the family.
Local residents took him to the nearest private hospital to get medical attention.
Then, family members reached the hospital and told the police,” Tyagi added.
Akash Patel, a police supervisor assistant, said that based on complaints by the family, FIR has been listed under Section 307 (an effort to kill) from the Criminal Code and the investigation is currently underway.
