PUDUCHERRY: Lieutenant Governor Puduchherry Tamilisai Soundararajan said mandatory vaccination against Covid-19 became compulsory from Sunday and asked people to be brought with their CERFIFICATES OF Vaccination because there would be checking by health authorities.
Speaking with reporters after visiting the Primary Health Center (PHC) in neighboring Villianoor to see its own implementation of vaccination drive, he said, “the government wants to ensure that Puducherry appears as a fully vaccinated union area.” He said no stone missed to achieve the purpose and vaccination aimed at protecting people towards the pandemic and also to prevent the occurrence of a new virus from the virus – Omicron.
He all praise for health staff in implementing vaccination programs even on Sundays.
“People have to extend their cooperation,” he said the territorial administration announced last week that vaccination would be mandatory in the United States and those who missed the inoculation to face criminal acts under public health laws.
Health Secretary Udhayakumar, Health Director G.Sriramulu and a number of health department officials attended.
The United area has so far provided a vaccine to 13.06,706 people, according to press releases.
