Mysuru: Mandya’s excise officials have arrested two people suspected of having nearly 3 kg of marijuana.
Acting on the tip-off, the excise official team held Karthik aka Mylari in Koththatti-Bannur Road at Mandya Taluk and found 2kg of marijuana with him on Wednesday night.
On the same day, Detective catch Manu, who allegedly had 970gram marijuana, the police stated.
Both have been ordered based on the provisions of the NDPS law, and returned in judicial detention.
Excise officials are examined from where they get marijuana.
Vijaykumar K T, DSP, Excise (Mandya), said in both cases, marijuana came from MySuru District.
Investigations are underway to capture other accusations in the process.
