Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has adopted a budget for 2022-23, which aims to mobilize resources to collect Hospital 80 Crore through property tax under the self-assessment scheme (SAS).
“The city has 2,05,003 properties in 60 wards, and wants to increase the income of entry.
The steps will be taken to be included in the ampbit tax of all properties left of the City Corporation tax increase,” said Shobha Rajesh, Chairperson of Taxes, Finance and Appeal MCC Committee.
“Priority will be given to the collection of service fees from education institutions that are excluded from paying property taxes.

The budget also targets a collection of Rs 65 Crore through Cess Air and Rs 25 Crore through solid waste management in the next financial year.

Unauthorized advertisements and stockpiles will be controlled through new rules and separate advertising carpits will be prepared.
MCC has a goal of collecting RS 7 Crore income from advertisements and stockpiling during the year.
Following advice from public, without troubling ordinary people, the cost of building licenses will be reviewed, and the possibility of being revised in the next financial year.
City Corporation expects Rs 4 Crore income through the cost of building licenses next year.
Likewise, RS 8 Crore is expected through the FAR Fund Premium, he said.
Mayor of Premanand Shetty said the corporation would emphasize the increase in sanctions for each environmental corporation for development, based on increased income collection.
“More emphasis will be given to make the MCC office completely without paper.
